"Under The Sea"
![]()
This wrap uses two different products. The Monster Wrap was
used for the water portions of this wrap
and the graphic element under the logo and on the surf board is from Duo Chrome.
This was all put together in Adobe Photoshop.
The fish are a digital picture of fish.
With that, lets go ahead and get started.
First I opened up the Ice Wall and Pool Water 1 from the water folder on the
Monster Wrap DVD.
I pasted the Ice Wall into my design window and tiled it out 4 times
horizontally and 2 times vertically,
then I merged them all on to one layer. I also flipped it vertically so the bumps
appear to stick up
as apposed to the original version.
Next I pasted the Pool Water 1 in my design window and tiled
it the same as the Ice Wall.
Merge all 8 layers of the Pool Water 1 together after tiled.
Next we will use the transform tool to place these tiled fills
into perspective.
This tool is under Edit/Transform/Perspective. It will take a combination of
squashing it vertically with the
scale tool as well as perspective. The Pool Water 1 is going to be the surface
of the water and the Ice wall
is going to act as the sea floor. Bring the bottom corners of the Pool Water 1
in and squash it vertically.
Bring the top corners in on the Ice Wall and squash it vertically. Your files should appear to face each other
with the Pool Water 1 over the top of the Ice Wall as shown in the example
below.
Next we will make the background a color with these RGB
values:
(you can change this color if you want)
R = 0
G = 119
B = 220
#0077dc
To do this just type in the values in the RGB boxes in your
color palette. To access the color palette
click the small color box towards the bottom of your tool palette. Use the paint
bucket to dump the color on
the background layer. (you may need to make a new layer and move it to the back)
Your file should look like this:
Next we use a blending option of Multiply on the Ice Wall.
This can be accessed on the layers palette or in the layer styles palette.
Use a blending option of overlay for the Pool Water 1.
Next we are going to use a very large eraser with the hardness
at 0 to fade the
Pool Water 1 to the background color across the bottom edge.
We will do the same across the top edge of the Ice Wall.
This will be our under water scene background.
Next insert a hi-rez picture of fish (optional) and use the eraser to fade it around the edges.
I have also used a graphic element from the Duo Chrome to
create a logo for this wrap.
I faded in the Pool Water 2 from the Monster Wrap along the bottom of the text.
A bevel and gradient
overlay was added to the text and graphic, along with reducing the opacity of
the graphic.
Finish with a soft drop shadow. Logo design will be covered deeper in the next
tutorial.
Here is our finished wrap.
I dressed it up a little using the surf board and some fills from Print Craft Suite.
